The culinary challenge, organised by Chloe Church and Jessie Sharp, saw four rounds of Bake Off days that included a biscuit round, Halloween treats, and pastry week, culminating in a Christmas finale. Staff members paid £3 each to sample delights and vote for their favourite bakes, with winners of each round going through to the final.
“We wanted to select an important local charity and Stars does amazing work in Cambridge,” said Chloe. “We had such a great response from all involved, everyone at Carter Jonas really enjoyed fundraising and members of the Stars team came along to show their support.”
This week’s festive final raised a grand total of £318.20 to help Stars support young people in Cambridge facing grief. Congratulations to the Bake Off winner Sarah Wright for her amazing Caramel Baileys Bundt Christmas Wreath Cake, and to Amelia Cobley who won second place for her Gingerbread Cake. Also baking in the final round were; Monty Todd, Amelia Cobley, Sarah Wright, Izzy Vyvyan, Richard Combes and Fiona Black – well done to all you brilliant bakers and thank you Carter Jonas from everyone at Stars Children’s Bereavement
