A fantastic thank you to the wonderful team at Lifesure in St Neots for their amazing £1,309.80 donation!

As a family-owned business, this 70-strong team continually supports charitable causes every quarter, and STARS Children’s Bereavement was fortunate enough to be chosen as one such charity.

Driven by the company’s Care and Social Committee, which raises funds through staff ideas, activities and corporate events, Jane Althorpe from Lifesure said: “STARS was nominated by one of our partners who, after sadly losing his sister, realised the vital importance of counselling received by her children. He wanted us to support a local charity that provides this immensely valuable service.”

To generate fundraising, Lifesure held activities from dress-down Fridays to bake-off days, culminating in the company’s own business awards, where many partners and suppliers donated prizes to raise money for STARS.

“I am delighted that STARS was selected, it is important for us to support a smaller charity where this amount of money is so very needed and can really make a difference – we would encourage more companies to do the same for the great work at STARS,” said Jane. “We operate on five key values, and the core value is caring, not just about business but about our community. I am proud of what we do here, reaching across charities to help different people at a time we believe can help them most. STARS does such remarkable work when a family tragedy happens and Cambridgeshire children really do need the support that is currently unfunded.”

Thank you so much Lifesure! Your very generous amount will go a long way to help support children in Cambridgeshire facing grief.
