A great fundraiser event for STARS and Callum Fairhurst

This has been a fantastic event for both organisations and we are pleased to say that the Liam Fairhurst Foundation has donated funds to STARS to provide supervision and training for our volunteer counsellors.

Thank you for your fantastic support.

Could you be STARS' Business Manager? A fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to our service

We are looking for a talented business manager to lead on all non-clinical, operational matters, providing strong leadership to the team.

Business Manager (voluntary)

STARS provides bereavement support to young people and families throughout Cambridgeshire. Our service is free and funding comes from a combination of grants, trust funds and donations. The service is also commissioned by the Local Authority. We deliver our counselling through a small number of qualified counselling specialists and cohort of dedicated volunteers who receive high quality training from us.

The demand for our services has increased two-fold over the past year and this trend is expected to continue. With this in mind, STARS is seeking a talented Business Manager to lead on all non-clinical, operational matters, providing strong leadership to the team.

Outwardly, you will act as the ambassador of STARS at regional networking and fundraising events and coordinate PR and media enquiries. Given the management element of the role, some regular presence in the office is required, however, as it’s voluntary work significant flexibility is offered around hours.

The role represents a fantastic opportunity to give something back to the community and for you to make a real difference. Interested? Contact David Culley via info@talktostars or call 07904 208461 for an informal discussion.
